Pets & Children
Cacti are usually very spiny and may cause cuts and puncture wounds on the skin and eyes if not protected. Keep out of reach of small children and display where they won't be knocked over

Central America, Mexico and Southwestern USA
Habitat Conditions
The cacti in our collection are all natives of the deserts of Mexico and Southwestern USA where they are adapted to high daytime temperatures (and often low nighttime temperatures), and very intense sunlight. They are best displayed in conservatories or on secure windowsills
Plant Care
Light
High light is best for these cacti, and they will do well in direct sunlight
Watering
Cacti require little water and the soil should be allowed to dry out between watering. Water a little more frequently if you see flower buds emerging.
Pruning
Cacti cannot be pruned
Feeding
A weak solution of fertilizer can be added to the water. Specialist cactus fertilizers are available, but they are quite expensive.
Pest & Diseases
Generally pest free, but the occasional mealybug might be found. These should be removed with a pair of tweezers, or a stiff paintbrush, if seen
