Medium light plants enjoy moderate natural light, often referred to as filtered light, and they sit somewhere in between houseplants that like bright light and our low light plants. Houseplants that like moderate light should avoid direct sunlight and spaces that are too shady, but they still love the benefit of dappled sunlight that filters through windows. Moderate light can be created in bright rooms by diffusing sunlight with a sheer curtain or shading a small plant with a larger houseplant.
TIP: Not sure if you have medium light in a particular space? Hold your hand up and see what your shadow looks like. Moderate light will produce a shadow that is a little blurry or fuzzy, whereas bright light will create a shadow that is crisp and clearly defined.
